Shirley Ann Bowen Roetman

A memorial service for Shirley Bowen Roetman will be July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Manville Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Lundstroms' Gospel Crusade in care of Brett Roetman, Box 713, Lusk, WY 82225.

She died Friday, July 11, at Southern Region Hospital, Riverdale, Ga. from complications of scleroderma.

She was born Jan. 12, 1938 in Ithaca, N.Y., to Louis and Edna Bowen. She was raised in Ithaca until the family moved to Wyoming in 1953, where she graduated from Niobrara County High School.

After attending McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., for two years, she married Ryland Roetman, Sr., June 1, 1957. After living in Alaska for a brief period, they moved to Minnesota, where they were engaged in farming. They moved to Sebring, Fla., and for the past few years have resided in Sharpsburg, Ga.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; sons Ryland Jr. and Colin of Georgia and Brett of Lusk; foster daughter Laura Hendrickson of Minnesota; sisters, Catherine Dawn Hicks of Torrington, Judy Bredthauer of Manville; brother Arlo Bowen of Wheatland; 14 grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and many more who called her "Mom".
