Funeral services for William Helmuth Robertson Jr., 78, will be held Thursday, Dec. 26, 1991, at 2 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas, Wyo., with Rev. Allen Kallenbach of the Congregational Church of Lusk officiating. Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery with the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 conducting military gravesides rites.
Robertson died Saturday, December 21, 1991 at the emergency room at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas following a sudden illness.
He is survived by his wife, Grace L. Robertson, of Douglas; twin daughters, Elizabeth Grace Robertson of Douglas and Rose Lee Thomson of Manville; two brothers, Durward Robertson of Douglas and Kenneth Robertson of Bridgeport, Calif.; one sister Doris Scovel of Sacramento, Calif., and three grandchildren, Jeffery David Thomson of Manville, Kristol Lee Miller and husband, Mark L. of Lusk, and Mark William Thomson of Manville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be David R. Thomson, Jeffery D. Thomson, Mark W. Thomson, Mark L. Miller, Bob Britton, and Gerald Hoffman.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of his many friends.
A memorial has been established to the University of Wyoming Scholarship Fund.
The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.

Robertson died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at the emergency room at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas following a sudden illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, the son of William H. and Julia A. (Ernest) Robertson Sr. As a young boy he moved with his parents to Dalton, Neb., returning to the family farm. In 1928 they moved to Douglas, and homesteaded north of Douglas. He graduated from Converse County High School in Douglas in 1930.
He received his normal training in Douglas, and in the summer he surveyed the northern part of Converse County and attended two summer sessions at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He taught for eight years in Converse County, teaching at Orin, Verus, Sims School, Taylor School, and the Graves School.
He was married to Grace Lucinda Spracklen on Oct. 12, 1940, in Harrison, Neb. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. While in service he graduated from the Aimes College in Aimes, Iowa with training in diesel mechanics, and was stationed on Midway Island in the South Pacific. Following his discharge he returned to Douglas working first for the Ford Garage for two years as a mechanic. He then started a sawmill in the Cold Springs and Esterbrook areas, south of Douglas, for 10 years.
In 1962 he went to work for the State of Wyoming, splitting his time between the Highway Department and Revenue Department, in Douglas. He retired in 1980, remaining a resident of Douglas until the time of his death. His hobby was reading, and he enjoyed visiting and doing things with his daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Grace L. Robertson, of Douglas; twin daughters, Elizabeth Grace Robertson of Douglas and Rose Lee Thomson of Manville; two brothers, Durward Robertson of Douglas and Kenneth Robertson of Bridgeport, Calif.; one sister, Doris Scovel of Sacramento, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Jeffery David Thomson of Manville, Kristol Lee Miller and husband, Mark L. of Lusk, and Mark William Thomson of Manville.
