Wm. A. Rizor Passes Away at Home Here Friday; Funeral Held in Harrison Sunday With Services in Lusk By Odd Fellows

William A. Rizor, well-known and highly respected citizen of Lusk, passed away at his home here on Friday afternoon, April 23, at 3:50 o'clock, death being caused by a complication of ailments incident to his advanced age. Mr. Rizor was 76 years old at the time of his death.

A private funeral service was held at the chapel of the Peet Mortuary last Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Frank Wilke of Scottsbluff, Neb., officiated at this service.

Custer Lodge No. 21, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, conducted rites for Mr. Rizor at the Congregational Church on Sunday. Ben Updike, noble grand of the organization officiated at this service. Music was furnished by a male quartet composed of Ford B. Kuns, Rev. George Jenkins, J. M. Hungate and O. P. Harnagel.

Interment was made in the Harrison cemetery, with graveside services by Rev. Wilke and the committal by the Odd Fellows. A large crowd attended the services in Lusk and about thirty cars accompanied the cortege from Lusk to Harrison.

Pallbearers were Otis Bump, Kenneth Kirby, Z. B. Crinklaw, R. L. Van Tassell, Roy McLain and Charles Barnes.

William A. Rizor was born at LaRue, Ohio, on October 29, 1860, and passed away at his home in Lusk on April 23, 1937, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 25 days.

On May 3, 1893, he was united in marriage to Minnie M. Eversull, at Chadron, Neb. To this union was born eight children. Three preceded him in death and five survive.

Those left to mourn his loss are his wife and four daughters - Mrs. C. A. David and Mrs. George Story of Hat Creek, Wyo., and Bernice and Charlotte Rizor of Lusk, one son, Almer, now residing in Guernsey, Wyo.; a brother, Thomas Rizor, of Marion, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Cottrell, of Denver, Colo.

Members of the immediate family and Mr. Rizor's brother were at his bedside at the time of his passing.

Mr. Rizor has resided in Lusk for the past six years. Previous to his residence here he lived in Greybull, Wyo. He was a 25-year member of Greybull Lodge No. 12, I.O.O.F.
