Last Rites for Lawrence Ring

Funeral services for Lawrence Ring of Lakewood, Colo. were held in Denver May 19. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery. He died May 15 at Colorado General Hospital after suffering a stroke April 17.

Born April 29, 1909, near Harrison, he received his education in the schools of Sioux and Dawes Counties, graduating from Crawford High School. He also attended Chadron State College for a time.

He married Ruth Johnson of Crawford in 1932. They made their home in Crawford and Chadron until 1942 when they moved to Denver. They were the parents of five children. Ruth died October 10, 1932.

He married Anna Malich in Denver, June 23, 1957. For the past 30 years he worked as an auto body and fender man, the past five at Yellow Cab in Denver. He was past president of the Denver Aerie, 2083 F.O.E.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Novinger, Aurora, Colo. and Mrs. Sharon Longo, Denver; two sons, Larry of Northglenn, Colo. and Lynn of Dallas, Texas; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lillian Wiese, Lakewood, Colo.; a stepson, Ralph Barker, also of Lakewood; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Harrison, Mrs. Lillie Pearson and Mrs. Helen Gunn, both of Hat Creek, Wyo., and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother and one infant son, David.
