Funeral services for Edwin E. Rhoads, Sr., 80, of Crawford, Nebr. will be held Thursday Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church with the Father Todd Philipsen officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Wake services will be held Wednesday Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at St. John's.

Rhoads died Sept. 26 at Chadron Community Hospital.

He was born October 8, 1917 in Falls City, Nebr. to Ralph Samuel and Minnie Alice (MacCumber) Rhoads.

He was affiliated with the American Legion.

His survivors include his wife, Anita, Crawford; sons, Edwin E. Rhoads Jr. and wife, Sherry; Ralph Rhoads and wife, Karen all of Alliance, Nebr.; daughter, Anita Rising and husband, Dale of Lusk; and brother Ralph Rhoads of Chadron, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the family and can be sent to Security Bank of Crawford. Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of the arrangements.
