Nellie Rensvold Last Rites Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Hans Rensvold, early Sioux County resident, were held April 10 from the church of the Nazarene at Crawford, and burial was in the Crawford Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Dodd officiated.
Nellie Rosetta Rensvold was born to Jefferson and Emma Force on April 10, 1894 at Craig, Nebr., and died at her home in Crawford April 6, at the age of 74.
She came to Sioux County in 1912. On March 27, 1914 she married Harry Pelren and three children were born.
They lived in the Roundtop vicinity until moving to Crawford in 1938 where they lived continuously. He died suddenly in August of 1953.
September 10, 1960 she was married to Hans Rensvold and lived in Crawford until the time of her death.
She became a member of the Church of the Nazarene in 1939 and was an active member.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sisters, Edna Horner and Gertrude Critchfield, and two brothers, Arthur and Ransom Force.
Surviving are her husband Hans; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Chubb of Crawford; two sons, Kenneth Pelren of Palm Springs, Calif., and Jack Pelren of Scottsbluff; one sister, Goldie Force, of Crawford; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
