Mrs. Rennard Dies Thursday
Mrs. Mary J. Rennard, 84, of Cheyenne River died last Thursday in the Edgemont Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held from the Edgemont Congregational church Saturday with the Rev. George Chasney of Edgemont and the Rev. Peter Dahlberg of Hot Springs officiating. Burial was in the Edgemont Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. James Bastian sang "Abide With Me" and "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus."
Pallbearers were Donald Burton, Tom Hammell, Joe Kane, Edward Rumney, Leonard Sedgwick and Grant Sutherland.
Honorary pallbearers were: Joe Gieger, Charles Hanson, Fred Hubbard, Fred Robison, Dr. Charles Roper and William Spencer.
Mary Jane Earnshaw was born September 18, 1879 in Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Robert and Ellen Earnshaw. She and Tom Rennard were married in England, shortly after they came to Wyoming and were among the early settlers on the Cheyenne River. She lived on the family homestead and continued to be very active in the ranching business until hospitalized several years ago. She was a member of the Cheyenne River Congregational Church.
She is survived by three sons, Sam of Mule Creek Junction, Tom of Casper, and Robert of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
