Final rites for Mrs. Roy Quigley were conducted from the chapel of the Peet Mortuary on Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Clyde Hampton officiating.

Mrs. Quigley passed away January 13, at the Spencer Hospital. Her death was attributed to general peritonitis, following an emergency operation for the removal of a ruptured appendix. She lived five days after the operation was performed.

Grace Jeanette Tibbits was born in Barber County, Kansas, on February 27, 1887. When a small child, together with her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Tibbets, she moved to farms in the vicinity of Pawnee City and Fullerton, Neb. On December 25, 1907, she was married to Roy Quigley and the young couple made their home in Nebraska until 1919, when they moved to this county, making their home on a ranch south of Lusk.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Roy; one son, Earl of Lusk; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Conley of Scottsbluff, and Mrs. Winnie Wise of Central City, Neb., and a brother, William Tibbetts of Wapeta, Washington, and one grandson.

Mrs. Roy Quigley, Prominent Ranch Women of South of Lusk, Succumbs to Effects of Ruptured Appendix

An emergency operation for the removal of a ruptured appendix, performed Saturday afternoon in a Lusk hospital, failed to save the life of Mrs. Roy Quigley, of south of this city. After lingering in a serious condition for five and one-half days, Mrs. Quigley died this (Thursday) morning at 7:05 a.m. At the time of her passing she had reached the age of 56 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

Born in Barber County, Kans., on February 27, 1887, Grace Jeanette Tibbetts moved with her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Tibbetts to the vicinity of Pawnee City and Fullerton, Nebr., when a small child. There, she spent her girlhood days, and on December 25, 1907, was united in marriage to Roy Quigley. The young couple made their home in Nebraska until 1919, when they moved to Niobrara county, establishing their home on a ranch just south of Lusk.

Mrs. Quigley leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Roy; one son, Earl of west of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Conley of Scottsbluff, Nebr., and Mrs. Winnie Wise of Central City, Nebr., one brother, William Tibbetts of Wapeta, Wash., one grandson and a host of friends.

Last services for the deceased will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of the Peet mortuary. Rev. Clyde Hampton, pastor of the First Baptist church of Lusk, will officiate at these rites.
