Archie Pugsley Dies Thursday
Archie Pugsley, 70, long time resident of the Jay Em community died last Thursday, at Goshen Memorial Hospital in Torrington.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday from the Peet Chapel in Lusk and burial at the Jay Em Cemetery.
Mrs. Hobart Cockerham and Mrs. Maude Bonner sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden", accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson on the organ. Pallbearers were Bucky Barnette, Loris Gheen, Dale Gheen, Dick Vondra, Bud Vondra and Carl Brown, Jr.
Archie Lee Pugsley was born March 7, 1893 in Franklin County, Neb. the son of Joseph and Emma Pugsley.
December 23, 1914, he married Eunice Bell Allen. The couple came to Wyoming in the spring of 1915 and homesteaded 11 miles west of Jay Em. They were the parents of four sons, Fred of San Bernadino, Clarence of Lingle, Ethan of Pendleton, Ore. and Earl of Casper. Mrs. Pugsley died Jan. 27, 1939.
June 1947 he was married to Margaret Farrell who died in April 1962. Since that time Mr. Pugsley has made his home with his son, and family near Lingle and with a brother-in-law, Willard Robinett, of Jay Em.
He is survived by all four of his sons, also two step-sons, Ivan Farrell of Cheyenne, Elton of Climax, Colo., and one stepdaughter, Valjean of Lander. Two sisters, Mrs. Nona Perry of Vancouver, Mrs. Verdie Robinett and one brother C. L. Pugsley of Torrington, 12 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
