Vincent Pfister Laid At Rest in Lusk Cemetery Saturday Morning Following Requiem High Mass in St. Leo's Church
A high mass of requiem was sung by St. Leo's Choir in the Catholic Church, at ten o'clock Saturday morning, October 16th for the late Vincent Pfister. Rev. M. J. McBrien officiated at the funeral service.
Interment was made in the family plot in the Lusk Cemetery with the remains being borne to their final resting place by James Pfister, Jack Pfister, Richard Pfister, Henry Wasserburger, Jr., William Wasserburger, nephews of the deceased, and Roland Brown.
Vincent Pfister was born October 12, 1893 at the ranch home of his parents, John Pfister and Ella (Arnold) Pfister, prominent pioneers of eastern Wyoming and passed away at his birthplace on Wednesday, October 13, 1954 when he was suddenly and unexpectedly stricken with a heart attack that claimed his life. He had celebrated his 61st birthday anniversary the day preceding his demise.
He received his elementary schooling in Node, and attended high school in Junction City, Kansas. He was graduated from the Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana as a registered pharmacist. He preferred ranching and returned to his father's ranch near Node, and was living there at the time of his death. As a young man he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
The deceased was a man of high principles, his word being his bond. His ever willing helpfulness to assist his family and neighbors with their problems and work will always be remembered and cherished by them. His demise has created a voidness among them that will not be easily if ever filled.
Survivors include five sisters, his twin, Mrs. Ella Dean, of Node, Wyo., Mrs. Margaret Olinger and Mrs. Anne Wasserburger of Hat Creek, Wyo., Mrs. Jane Joy of Kaycee, Wyo. and Mrs. Frances Anderson, of Omaha, Nebr., five brothers, Valentine Pfister of Node, Wyo., Edwin of Hat Creek, Wyo., John of Sheridan, Wyo., Richard of Edgemont, So. Dak., and William Pfister of Greenville, So. Carolina; two uncles, Richard V. Pfister and Edward M. Arnold both of Lusk and a large number of nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1926, his father in 1939, and two brothers who passed away in infancy.
Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. John Pfister, Sheridan, Wyo., Mrs. Jane Joy, Kaycee, Wyo., Richard Pfister, Edgemont, So. Dak., Mrs. Sam Hale, Lincoln, Nebr., Mrs. R. L. McGee of Laramie, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Tom Arnold of Valentine, Nebr., and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Farrington of Crawford, Nebr.

Vincent Pfister Found Dead Wed. Morning at Ranch
Vincent Pfister, 57, was found dead at his ranch southeast of Lusk Wednesday morning, October 13 where he evidently died of a heart attack while repairing fence.
He was found by his nephew, Richard G. Pfister of Lusk abut 10:40 a.m. who thought that he might still be alive, and in company with Jim Murphy they rushed the man to town and took him to the Spencer Hospital where Dr. W. E. Reckling pronounced him dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Vincent Pfister is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pfister who were pioneers in this section of Wyoming and has lived here most of his life.
Among the survivors are five sisters and five brothers; Mrs. Albrt Olinger, Mrs. Henry Wasserburger and Mrs. Ella Dean of Lusk, Mrs. Jane Joy of Kaycee, Wyo., and Mrs. Francis Anderson of Omaha; the brothers are Richard of Edgemont; William of Billings, Mont., John of Sheridan and Edwin and Valentine of Lusk.

Funeral Services Accorded Vincent Pfister Sunday
Funeral services were held Sunday at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church for Vincent Pfister, 61, who died from a heart attack October 13. The rites were conducted by Rev. M. J. McBrien, pastor of the church. Mrs. Ann Wasserburger at the organ accompanied the Catholic choir.
Casket bearers were: Roland Brown, Henry L. Wasserburger, William Wasserburger, Richard G. Pfister, James Pfister and Jack Pfister. Interment was in the Lusk cemetery.
Rosary services were held Friday evening.
Vincent Pfister, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pfister, Sr., was born October 12, 1893. He lived his entire life in Niobrara County.
Surviving are five brothers and five sisters: Valentine, Node; John, Sheridan, Richard, Edgemont; William, Billings, Mont.; Edwin, Hat Creek; Mrs. Albert Olinger, Hat Creek; Mrs. Jane Joy, Kaycee; Mrs. Frances Anderson, Omaha; Mrs. Henry Waserburger, Sr., Hat Creek, and Mrs. Ella Dean, Node.
Among the out of town relatives here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. John Pfister of Sheridan, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Arnold of Valentine, Nebr., Richard Pfister, Sr. of Edgemont, S. Dak., Mrs. Jane Joy, Kaycee, Wyo., and Mrs. Helen Hales, Edgemont, S. Dak.
