Peter Peterson Dies at Age 90
Peter Peterson, 90 year old resident of Sioux County since 1910, died April 24 at the Crawford Hospital. He had been ill for several years and was taken to the hospital April 10.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Memorial Church at Harrison Saturday with the Rev. V. Mearl Hainsey officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.
Mr. Peterson was born in Stroedy, Denmark, April 12, 1873. He came to the United States in 1892 and settled in Washington County Nebr. In 1905 he was married to Lena Jensen and to them were born a son, Herman, and a daughter, Mae. The family moved to Sioux County north of Harrison in 1910.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Denmark and retained his membership all his life in that church.
Only survivors are his wife and son and daughter.
