Carol Perry, age 59, of Lusk passed away on September 28, 2000 at the Region West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb.
A public visitation was held at the funeral home on October 2, 2000 from 9:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in Frederick, Maryland on October 9, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at the Latter Day Saint Church in Frederick, Maryland. Interment will follow in the St. Paul's Cemetery at Point of Rocks, Maryland.
Carol was born on October 12, 1940 in Amsterdam, New York to Levi and Genevieve Klock Gough. She attended school in Johnstown, New York and graduated from the George Mason College in Fairfax, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught preschool.
She married George Perry on February 17, 1979 in Kensington, Maryland. They resided in Frederick, Maryland until retiring and moving to Lusk in 1992.
Carol enjoyed genealogy work, and at the time of her death she was writing a book.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jay Daniel Perry and her mother.
She is survived by her husband, George of Lusk, one son Robert John Grannis of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Laura Jeanne Rencher of Poulsbo, Wash. and Susan Lee Knous of Walkersville, Md; Her father Levi Gough of Johnstown, N.Y., one brother Lee Gough of New York and one sister Kathryn Gulick of Connecticut. Five stepchildren: Wayne, Robert and Erick Perry, Jonia Hall and Merijane Lamas. Also surviving are 37 grandchildren and the father of her children John Grannis of Fairfax, Virginia.
A memorial has been established to the Home Away From Home, 2600 East 18th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82201.
Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of the arrangements.
