C. Pavlacky killed in crash
C. Everette Pavlacky was killed in a head-on automobile crash April 3, and funeral service was held April 7 in La Mirada, Calif. Pavlacky who was reared in Niobrara County and attended elementary schools here planned to retire in Lusk.
He served in the South Pacific during World War II and after his discharge from the service he worked for a time in the Lusk Safeway Store. In September of 1976 he received a 25-year pin from Hughes Aircraft Company where he has worked since moving to California. He was active in Boy Scouts and as a leader went on many safaris with his troop.
Survivors include his widow Nancy and Steven, a grandson they were rearing, of the family home; a son David and daughter Frances LaCroix both of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Marvin of Sacramento, Calif., Kenneth of Eureka, Utah, Erwin of Mountain Home, Idaho; three sisters, Myrrel Vodopich, La Mirada, Calif., Mildred of Grants Pass, Ore., and Doris Mahnke of Lusk.
