August "Gus" John Pavlacky
August Pavlacky dies in Oregon
Funeral service was held at Grants Pass, Oregon, July 14 for August John Pavlacky who died July 4th following a heart attack.
Pavlacky was born January 10, 1891, at Lynch, Neb. He came to Lusk in 1918 and worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad at the coal shed and at the Ohio Oil Company Gas Plant at Lance Creek.
During World War II he worked in the shipyards at Alameda, Calif.
Survivors include his widow Blanche of Williams, Ore.; sons James of Williams, Marvin, Sacramento, Calif., Charles (Everette) LaMirada, Calif.; Kenneth, Torrington, Erwin, Mountain Home, Idaho; daughters, Myrrel Vodopich, LaMirada, Calif., Mildred Kellogg, Grants Pass, Ore., and Doris Mahnke of Lusk; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Welfle, Burke, S.D. and a brother Frank in Nebraska.
