Aunt Of Local Phone Manager Is Instantly Killed In Auto Crash
A. L. Peyton, local telephone exchange manager, received word early this (Thursday) morning that an aunt, Mrs. Hannah Peyton, whose home is near Glendo, was almost instantly killed in an automobile collision just south of that city Wednesday. Mrs. Peyton was about 80 years old.
According to information received in Lusk, Mrs. Payton was riding with her son, Michael, when they met a large car on a stretch of loose gravel. An attempt to turn out of the way failed, and the cars met head-on.
Mrs. Peyton's skull was fractured, and one arm broken so badly that the bone protruded through her clothing. She died soon after the accident. The son received minor cuts and bruises.
