Funeral services for Gary Lyman Owren, 55, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, in the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.
Owren died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1992, at his mother-in-law's home in Lusk.
He was born Aug. 18, 1936, in Centerville, S.D., the son of Lyman and Edna Johnson Owren. He was raised and attended schools in the Centerville community.
He married Lila Krein of Tuttle, N.D., on Aug. 9, 1963. He worked in construction and the couple lived in various states because of his line of work.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Rhonda.
Survivors include his wife, Lila, of Lusk; one son, Jay, and one daughter, Debbie, both of the family home; three brothers, Lanny of Canon City, Colo., Donnie and Ricky, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Karen, of Winters, Calif.; plus numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
