Walter Keithley

On Monday, George Keithley received word from Omaha that Walter, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Keithley had died in the hospital there, where he had been taken last December to be treated for enlargement of the spleen and Tontitus. The little fellow appeared to be recovering rapidly until Sunday when he was attacked with Pneumonia and carried away within a few hours. The remains arrived in Lusk yesterday and the funeral sermon was conducted at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon by Dr. Rafter, assisted by Rev. Dodshon, after which the body was taken in charge by the Woodmen of the World and interred in the Lusk Cemetery under the auspices of that order. This community extends sympathy to the family in this, their hour of sorrow. (Keithley is employed at the 77 Ranch.)

The Millburn boys moved several bodies from the old burying ground to the new cemetery the past week. In opening the grave of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Keithley's little boy, who was buried several years ago, the grave was found to contain nothing at all and it is believed body-snatchers got in their work. When the little fellow died in an Omaha hospital, the doctors there wanted to dissect the body but Mr. Keithley would not let them. The supposition is a grave-robber came out from Omaha and stole the body at night.
