Bill Moser Dies in San Diego
William J. (Bill) Moser, 73, died in a local hospital at San Diego, Calif., June 25 after a long illness. Memorial services were held at Pacific Beach Mortuary, Mission Bay Chapel, June 29 with the Rev. Donald J. Shelby of St. Marks Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at San Diego.
William Jennings Moser was born January 12, 1898 at Marysville, Kans. to Johanes and Anna Moser. He came to Harrison in the early 1920's where he met and married Agnes Thayer. They became the parents of two sons, Gerald W. and William F., making their home here until the spring of 1941. The family then moved to Salt Lake City where they resided until the spring of 1945, moving to San Diego where they have since resided. He worked in the construction industry as a cement mason until ill health forced his retirement in 1961. He was a member of Operative Plasterers and Cement Mason's International Ass'n , Local 744, since 1953 until the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by one son William in 1961. Survivors include his widow Agnes of their home at 3222 Cowley Way, and one son Gerald W. of San Diego, two granddaughters, Judy L. Kennedy of East Meadow, N. Y., and Ruth A. Fooks of Newark, Del., and one great granddaughter, Lisa Marie Fooks.
