Rex O. Morse
Rex O. Morse died March 14, 1984, at Sioux City, Iowa. He was born at Turin, Ia., on July 14, 1890.
He came to Wyoming in 1911 and homesteaded in Niobrara County north of the Mule Creek oil field near the Cheyenne River. He was united in marriage to Hattie V. Struble Feb. 2, 1916 and five children were born to this union: Daniel V. of Canon City, Colo.; Clara Lillian (deceased); Ronald T. of Rhodedendron, Ore.; Betty Hunter of Cortez, Colo. and Donnabelle Murphy of Luton, Ia.
He ranched and farmed on the homestead and worked in the oilfield in Mule Creek and Lance Creek. He was Niobrara County Bridge foreman in the late thirties.
His wife Hattie, died at Lusk in August of 1942.
In 1944 he moved to Iowa to live with his mother, and after her death in 1947 he met and married Mildred Wise Partridge of Sioux City, Ia. Oct. 29, 1947. He farmed and worked for a Farm Implement Company until retirement in 1955.
He purchased a farm north of Jackson where he resided until the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, four children, 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.
