Elinor Barbee Dies Here Friday

Mrs. Elinor Barbee, 57, died in the Memorial Hospital Friday morning of a heart attack. Mrs. Barbee who was employed as a nurse's aid at the Hospital had reported for work at 8:00 a.m. Not feeling well, she had been put to bed just a short time before the fatal attack.

Rosary was held at the Peet Chapel Sunday evening and in Norfolk, Nebr. Monday evening. Requiem Mass was held in Norfolk Tuesday morning with burial in the Norfolk Cemetery.

Elizabeth Elinor Smith was born in Lindsay, Nebr. April 15, 1904. She married Keith Barbee in Norfolk in November, 1927 and they were the parents of one son, William. They came to Lusk in 1939. Mrs. Barbee was employed for a time at the X-L Cafe and about 12 years as a receptionist for Dr. O. E. Torkelson. She had been working a short time as nurse's aid at the Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her son; three brothers, Matt Smith, Primrose, Nebr., Frank, Omaha, Nebr., and William of Santa Ana, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
