Mrs. Dale McGuire Dies Suddenly At Her Home In Lusk; Internment in Manville

Friends were greatly shocked and grieved Saturday evening when the word was passed around of the sudden death of Mrs. Ruth Hitshew McGuire, 23 years of age and the mother of two small children.

She is the wife of Dale McGuire and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Oliver Hitshew of Keeline and her death is attributed to the forming of a blood clot.

She had been in her usual health but shortly before nine o'clock complained of not feeling well and said she believed she would go to bed. Upon getting into bed she said that she felt worse and asked her husband to get her a drink of water but before he could hand it to her she expired.

Ruth Hitshew McGuire is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hitshew of Keeline and she was born on a ranch near Lance Creek, July 11, 1914. She attended rural schools for a time then the Keeline and later the Manville schools.

In 1935 she was married to Dale McGuire of Manville and to this union two children were born, Jimmie, 2 years and a baby girl ten months who with her husband survive her. Other relatives left to mourn are her parents and two brothers, Harold and William and one sister, Wilma, all of Keeline.

A short service was held at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk on Tuesday afternoon after which the remains were taken to Manville where funeral services were conducted with Rev. Geo. Jenkins of the Congregational Church of Lusk officiating. Music was rendered by Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Rasmusen, F.B. Kuns, and J.M. Hungate and the pall bearers were Floyd Bartos, Frank Whitker, Dutch Burd, Harold Birdsell, Bud Sylverter and George Sylvester. Internment was made in the Manville cemetery.
