Edith Kahlar Funeral Held on December 15
Funeral services for Edith Condray Kahlar, 77, of Douglas were held on Dec. 15, at the Stark-Lapham Funeral home with Rev. Harry Raddall officiating. Mrs. Kahlar passed away on Dec 12 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital following a stroke. Internment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 8, 1904 on a ranch northeast of Manville, Wyoming. She spent her early life in the Lost Springs area and was married to Roy Condray on Aug. 21, 1922 at the first Methodist Church in Douglas. They moved to Douglas in 1949 and purchased thr Air Port Motel. She married Henry Kahlar on Oct.16,1958 and retired from the motel in 1969, spending her remaining years at her home.
She is survived by her son, Ernest Condray of Kennwick, Washington; daughters Roberta Martin and Lenore McChesney of Douglas; sister Alice Randolph of Olympia, Washington; brother Charles Hitshew of Auburn, California and Leonard Hitshew of Lander in addition to 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Richard.
