Early Day Lusk Marshal Dies Mon.

John W. Marshall, 73, early-day town marshal of Lusk, died early Monday at Royal Oak, Mich. according to word received from his son, John E. Marshall by The Herald.

Funeral services will probably be held at Royal Oak this Friday if a grandson in the armed services in Germany can return by this time.

Mr. Marshall was married in Lusk in 1909, his wife coming here from England. Besides her the one son, J. E. Marshall of Royal Oak survives.

Mr. Marshall nicknamed Jack, was Lusk Marshal from June 1910 to June 1911. Old timers say that at one time he also drove stage out of Lusk. In January last year, his son visited Lusk briefly and looked up several old timers whom the father had named.
