Gilberg Leroy Bernbeck

Family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Lusk cemetery for Gilbert Leroy Bernbeck, 94, of Cheyenne.

Gilbert Bernbeck died Oct. 14, 2002 in Cheyenne.

He was born Dec. 27, 1907 in Salina, Kansas, the son of Berthold and Mary L. (Norman) Bernbeck.

He married Gayle Irene Larson on June 5, 1935 in VanTassell.

He worked as a farmer and rancher in Goshen County since 1951.

He is survived by his wife of Cheyenne; a son, Con E. Bernbeck of Stanton, Neb.; a daughter, Mary E. Jackson, of Cheyenne; a brother Dale Bernbeck of Kansas; a sister, Fannie Swisher of Deer River, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.

Schrader Funeral Home of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements.
