Carl Leroy Maguire
Carl Leroy Maguire died Oct. 19, 2001 in Brighton, Colo. Carl was born in Lusk Feb. 1, 1931 to Roy J. and Fanny Fern (Hobson) Maguire.
He married Iva Mae (Forssberg) Maguire Dec. 28, 1967 in Commerce City, Colo. His wife preceded him in death July 13, 1996.
Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had lived in the Ft. Lupton and Brighton area for over 30 years. He owned and operated his own farm in Ft. Lupton and loved to farm and work his land. Carl also worked as a sales clerk for Big R and Wheelers in Brighton. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Ft. Lupton.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Mae Maquire, and one brother Frank Maguire.
He is survived by two daughters; Carla Gustafson, of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Karen Maquire, of Ft. Lupton, Colo., and one son Richard Maguire, of Ft. Lupton. He is also survived by four sisters.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Ft. Lupton, Colo. Cremation with Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colo.
