Little Maxwell Baby Dies Of Pneumonia At Lusk Hospital Monday
Shirley Joyce Maxwell, age 8 months and 6 days, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Maxwell of Lance Creek, passed away at the Lusk hospital Monday, December 29th, following a week's illness of pneumonia. The little girl was taken sick at the home of her parents and last week was removed to the hospital where every effort that human skill and medical science could provide was made to save her life. For four days pure condensed oxygen was administered almost continuously, but to no avail.
Funeral services were held at the Manville Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Martin officiating. Interment took place in the Manville cemetery. George Earl Peet of the Peet Mortuary of this city had charge of funeral arrangements. The pall bearers were Lois Lindley, Doris Lindley, Pauline Houchin and Dorothy Schmer.
