A memorial service for Marjorie Lee Manders, 71, was held Friday, August 18, 1995 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Torrington with the Reverend Robert Anderson officiating. Interment of the cremated remains was in Valley View Cemetery. Memorial gifts to All Saints Episcopal Church would be appreciated by the family. Mrs. Manders died at Community Hospital on August 15, 1995 following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 20, 1923 at Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of Ernest and Edith (Daggett) Martin. She grew up in Lusk, graduating from high school in 1942. She married Mike Kilmer in 1945 and they were later divorced. She married Harold Manders at Lusk on November 14, 1954 and they made their home there until 1963 when they moved to California. They returned to Wyoming in 1974 and owned and operated the Miners Bar in Hartville from 1974 to 1979 and the Yoder Bar in Yoder from 1979 until their retirement in 1983. They moved to Torrington to spend their retirement years.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Harold and her son, Russell Kilmer, both of Torrington; sister Blanche Reece of Douglas; grandchildren, Heath, Loran and Terena Kilmer, and great-grandchildren, Dustin and Heath , all of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Inez Thomas and brother Dale Martin.
The Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington is in charge of arrangements.
