Constance "Connie" Miller
Constance "Connie" Miller, 83, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Sheridan Manor.
Born on February 1, 1922, in Cody, Nebr., to Albert and Myrtle (Hendricks) Colvin. She married Thomas Schwartz in 1940. They lived in Wichita, Kan., where she worked for the US A. F., transferring to Casper, in 1943. In 1948, she married Michael Miller. They owned and operated the Silver Dollar Bar in Lusk, for 12 years. They bought the K-Z Guest Ranch, north of Cody, and operated it for 17 years. They also owned the Wonder Bar in Cody. Mike and Connie moved from Cody, to Sheridan in 1993. Connie really loved nature and the mountains. She was an avid angler and supported wildlife habitat.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael, and her beloved sister, Bobbie. She is survived by her two daughters Susan Schwartz Pratt of Los Olivas, Calif., and Karna Miller of Sheridan; her son, Mick Miller of Casper; her niece Linda Rinker of Laramie; her nephew, Rick Quisinberry of Laramie; her three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place locally and her cremains will be scattered in the Sun Light Basin north of Cody. Memorial services will be schedule at a later date to be announced. Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan (307) 673-5837 is handling the arrangements.
