David B. Lorenzen

Memorial services for David B. Lorenzen, 62, of Lusk, were held Monday, Aug. 19, 1991, at 10 a.m. in the Congregational Church in the Lusk with the Rev. Allen Kallenbach officiating.

Lorenzen died Aug. 16, 1991, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper after becoming suddenly ill at home Aug. 15. He was born April 27, 1929, in Lusk. He was the son of John B. and Doris (Belden) Lorenzen. He grew up in Lusk and graduated from the Lusk High School in 1947. After graduation he went into business with his father at the Texaco Service Station in Lusk

In 1949 he married Wanda Mae Lenville in Lusk. The couple continued to make their home in Lusk. In 1968, he opened the Lorenzen Insurance Agency in Lusk, which he has continued to operate until the time of his death.

He was a member of the Congregational Church, a director of the Lusk State Bank, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed restoring old cars in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of Lusk; two sons, Dick Lorenzen of Fort Collins, Colo. and Tom Lorenzen of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Joan Winfield of Casper and four grandchildren; Verla Lorenzen and Tara Lorenzen both of Casper, and Brian Lorenzen and Martha Lorenzen both of Ft. Collins, Colo.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lusk State Bank to establish a college golf scholarship.
