Funeral services for Laural L. "Lolly" Lohr, 63 of Lusk, were held Oct. 29, 2002, at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds Auditorium, with her brother Pastor Neal Hughes conducting. Cremation took place after the funeral.
Laural L "Lolly" Lohr, died Oct. 24, 2002, near Lusk.
Lolly was born to Gilbert "Tuffy" and Daisy Harvey Hughes, April 22, 1939, in Hartville, Wyo. She was the eldest of eight children.
Lolly graduated from Lusk High School in 1958. She married John E. Lohr, July 10, 1958 in Scottsbluff, Neb. The couple raised one son and two daughters in Lusk.
Lolly enjoyed needlework and sheep ranching. She especially enjoyed the small lambs each spring. Lolly was John's right hand man in the trucking business they operated most of their married life.
She is survived by her husband John of Lusk; daughter Lorna Penlerick of Alliance, Neb., son John Wayne Lohr of Glendale, Ariz., mother Daisy Hughes of Wheatland, Wyo., 11 grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; an infant daughter; a daughter Glennis Watson of Gering, Neb. in January 2001; two brothers and her father Tuffy Hughes of Glendo, Wyo.
Memorials have been established to the Lohr family, Lusk Fire Department or the Lusk Ambulance Service.
Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
