Albert Lee, 88, prominent Sioux County rancher, died November 29 at a Scottsbluff hospital.
Mr. Lee was born January 19, 1884, in Savoy, Texas. He came with his parents to Mitchell in late 1908 and homesteaded in Sioux County in 1909.
He and Ethel Carpenter were married at Denver on October 12, 1912. They lived on the ranch until ill health forced his retirement in 1967, at which time they moved to Mitchell.
Mr. Lee was a member of the Nebraska Stockgrowers Association, Mitchell IOOF Covenant Lodge No. 259, and Scottsbluff Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his widow and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Services were held at the Jones Mortuary Chapel in Mitchell on December 1 with the Rev. Donald Littrell officiating. Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church at Mitchell.
