Dean B. Leach, Former Local Man Passes Away in San Diego, California, Saturday, March 10; Services Tuesday

Dean B. Leach, former local man, and brother-in-law of Mrs. Robert B. Taylor and Mrs. Jennie Held, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, March 10, at his San Diego, California home. Cause of death was given as a coronary attack.

Mr. Leach will be remembered in this community, having homesteaded on the Silver Springs ranch, south of Lusk, and, following the death of his father, operated the ranch for many years.

During the early days of the oil boom the deceased was postmaster of Lusk, when the post office was on the site of the present Baptist Church. He was also at one time employed by the Snyder Mercantile store.

Concluding rites were conducted in San Diego on Tuesday afternoon, March 13th.

Survivors include his wife, Selma; one son, Carl Leach, of Alma, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Chester Hodap of San Diego, Calif., another daughter, Marjory, preceded him in death.
