Warren Larson, Life Resident, Dies January 11

Warren C. Larson, 63, died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital Wednesday, January 11, a victim of emphysema. Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel Friday afternoon with the Rev. James E. Davis officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

At the funeral Mrs. Dale M. Bardo, organist, accompanied the Rev. James E. Scott, soloist as he sang "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Casket bearers were: Jim McAllister, Jim Willson, Walt Reed, Charles Rejda, Bill Nuttall and Ernest Hansen.

Warren Clay Larson was born August 31, 1903 at Lusk to Malter and Martha Larson.

He spent his boyhood at his parent's ranch north of Node and attended the Node school.

On August 3, 1929 he was married to Charlls Magoon. They were the parents of three children: Josephine Ann, James W. and John W. Larson.

His entire life was spent in the Lusk and Douglas areas and he was living in Lusk at the time of his death.

He was a member of the first Congregational Church of Lusk.

His parents, a brother, Ralph; a sister, Irene Lewis and his daughter Josephine died previously.

Survivors include his widow, Charlls; his sons, James W. of San Jose, Calif.; John W. of Lusk; four grandchildren, Mark and Dean Larson of San Jose, Calif.; Lori Lee and JoDee Larson of Lusk; a brother, Raymond A. Larson; three sisters, Clara Thomas of Lusk; Cecil Montgomery of Torrington and Geneva McConahey of Borger, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Out-of-town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ted McConahey, Borger, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Montgomery, Torrington, Mrs. Maxine Howard, Salt Lake City, Utah; Rawleigh Streeter, John Streeter and son, Ed of Kaycee.
