Funeral services for former Lance Creek resident, Mary H. Lasater were held Wednesday November 18 at the Bustard Funeral Home Funeral Home in Casper. Rev. David B. Hammar of the Bethel Baptist Church officiated. Mrs. Lasater passed away at the Wyoming Medical Center November 15 after a short illness. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mary H. Bartley was born September 19, 1901 at Alton, Missouri, to Andre and Minnie Bartley. She received her education there. Following graduation she went to Springfield Teachers College, and later taught in a rural school for a number of years.
She married Herbert Lasater on March 22, 1932 in Missouri, later they moved to Lance Creek where they lived until moving to Linch, Wyoming in 1959. In 1962, they lived in Newcastle for three years before moving to Casper where they have since made their home. While living at Lance Creek, Mr. Lasater worked for Continental Oil Company where he was foreman.
Mrs. Lasater was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Casper.
She is survived by her husband Herbert of Casper; one son, James W. Lasater of Billings, MT and one brother, Bonny Bartley of Springfield, MI. A son Thomas E. Lasater preceded his mother in death.
