Carl W. "Chub" Lashmett

Services for Carl W. "Chub" Lashmett, 64, were held Friday, Jan. 3, 1992, at 2 p.m. in the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating. Burial followed in the Dellview Cemetery in Manville.

Lashmett died Monday, Dec. 30, 1991, at his home in Manville of natural causes. He was born June 13, 1927, in Manville, the son of Chub and Juanita Lashmett. The family moved to Colorado when he was a small child.

He worked in the oilfields all his adult live, mainly as a roughneck and as a seismograph hand. He retired at the age of 60.

He is sadly missed by his four sons and by all who knew him as he was a friend to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles, a sister, Thelma Holdren, an infant sister, and an infant brother.

Survivors include four sons; John, Carl Jr. and Carl all of Lusk and Walter of Scottsbluff, Neb.; one daughter Carla Cotton of Kansas City, Mo.; one step-daughter, Debbie Stanley of Lusk; sisters, Delma Foley and Wilma Jassman of Manville and Rebecca Nezerus of Wheatland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
