Ray C. Lake
Ray C. Lake, 70, Twin Fall, Idaho, formerly of Lusk, Wyo., and Rupert, Idaho, died Sunday, March 10, 1991 at Burley Care Center in Burley, Idaho. He was born Oct. 2, 1920 in Adamston, W.Va., the son of Richard and Dessa Kirtpatrick Lake. He graduated from Savery High School, Savery, Wyo., and received and honor scholarship to the University of Wyoming. He served as a staff sergeant in the U. S. Army Signal Corps during World War II. He married Francine Shanks at Alamosa, Colo., on June 3, 1972.
Among his many talents were carpentry, cooking and making beautiful, hand-crafted rock jewelry.
Survivors include two sons, Ray C. Lake Jr., Nevada; William Lake, Colorado; three daughters, Pauline Grimm, Nevada; Roberta Jowell, Colorado; Joleene Bugg, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Flora Gross, Heyburn; Maudie Kenney, Lander, Clara Bailey, Burley.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Memorial services will be held Monday, March 18, 1991 at Snake River Community Church, Baggs, Wyo. Cremation took place at White Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary, Twin Falls, Idaho.
