Services for Richard Klette Held June 27
Funeral services for Richard E. Klette, pioneer resident of the Rawhide Butte Community, were held at 2:00 p.m. June 27 from the Congregational Church in Chadron, with Leland Mann, D. D. officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Richard Emil Klette was born in Omaha, September 28, 1885. He came to Wyoming in 1903 to work for the Copper Belt Mining Company. He became foreman of the Ord-Agnew ranch in 1904, a position he held for 22 years. He married Agnes King, September 17, 1911. The family operated a ranch in the Moore Springs Community until Mr. Klette's health failed in 1949. They spent a year in Oregon, returning to Lusk where Mr. Klette was employed at the Ranger Hotel for four years. He was a member of the Congregational Church. Upon his retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Klette purchased a home in Chadron to be near their daughter. He had been in ill health for some time.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Yeradi; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
