Agnes Klette, 83 Former Lusk Resident Dies
The death of a long-time resident of the Niobrara County, Mrs. Agnes H. Klette, 83, was just brought to the attention of the Herald. Mrs. Klette died December 11 in Chadron.
Funeral service for Mrs. Klette, was held in Chadron December 14, at the Congregational Church and was conducted by the Rev. James Langdon and the Rev. Thomas Dillon. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
Agnes Hazel King was born February 5, 1890 at Merna, Neb., the daughter of Henry and Ellen King. When she was four years old the family moved to Long Pine, Neb., where she grew to young womanhood. After teaching for one year in Nebraska she came to Lusk in 1909 where she met and married Richard E. Klette, Sept. 17, 1911. They were the parents of one daughter.
In 1948 Mr. and Mrs. Klette moved to Newberg, Ore., and in 1954 moved to Chadron where both resided until their deaths. Her husband died June 25, 1961.
Mrs. Klette is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gus (Margarete) Yeradi of Chadron; one brother Vivian Clark, Hillsboro, Ore., four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her parents, one sister, one brother and husband died previously.
She was a member of the Congregational Church and Womens Fellowship in Chadron.
