Richard L. Keller Sr.
Richard L. Keller, 76, of Lusk died early last Saturday at Niobrara County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Keller was raised in Gannett, Wyo., and enlisted in the Army at an early age. He served in the armed services for 24 years.
After retiring from the service in 1955, Mr. Keller went to Alliance, Neb., where he worked largely on farms and ranches for 22 years.
In 1977 he retired and moved to Lusk.
Mr. Keller was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in South Dakota, and he served as post commander in St. Francis, S. D.
He loved the outdoors and was especially happy when he went hunting and fishing.
Mr. Keller's survivors include two sons, Richard Keller Jr. of New Jersey and John W. Keller of Lusk; and three daughters, Audrey and Pricilla, both of Alliance, and Linda of Gainesville, Texas.
A service was held Tuesday at Peet Mortuary, with the Rev. Frank Blish officiating.
Burial followed at Lusk Cemetery, with military honors at graveside.
