Cremation has taken place for Vivian F. Keel, 86, of Sterling, Colo. Interment will be in the Harrison, Neb., Cemetery at a later date.
Keel died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1992, in Sterling. She was born June 26, 1906, in Aurora, Neb., to Frank and Laura Mae (Smith) Cochran.
She graduated from Aurora High School in Aurora, Neb. In 1924, she moved to Harrison where she taught school and married Maurice Keel in 1927. She moved to Sterling in 1980 where she lived until the time of her death.
She is survived by a son, Robert Keel of Prescott, Ariz.; a daughter, Barbara Mares and husband, Dan of Sterling; grandsons, Robert Lingreen and wife, A.J., of Sterling and Danny Mares of Sterling; granddaughter, Debbie Findley and husband, Mark, of Loveland and their children, Ryan and Andrea and three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Maurice, in 1966.
