Lois Shirley Judy

Lois Judy, a Manville resident since 1974, died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital this Monday, following a long illness.

Lois Shirley Judy was born September 29, 1920, at Crookston, Neb., the daughter of Guy and Bessie Overman. She married Louis Walking in 1937 at Hot Springs, S.D. They were the parents of three children, Bobby Lou, Mary Ann and Lou Ann. Mr. Walking died in 1953. In 1959 she married Francis Judy at Casper where they lived until 1974. In 1974 the Judys moved to Manville.

Funeral services will be held today, December 18, at 2 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Keith Putney officiating. Music will be "Safe In The Arms of Jesus" and "Beyond The Sunset." Bearers will be Jerry Overman, Robert Overman, George Overman, Richard Overman, Allen Heins and Lloyd Tschacher.

Interment will be in Dellview Cemetery in Manville.

Survivors include her husband Francis, their two sons Guy and Scott Judy, of the family home and son Robert Walking of California; two daughters Mary Ann Frederick of California and Lou Ann Whiteman of Casper; one brother Reid Overman of Casper, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Her family and friends will remember her for a cheery smile and quick wit. Lois was a wonderful wife and mother and friend to all who knew her, according to the family.
