Rev. C.W. "Jerry" Jervis
Services for Rev. Jervis Held in Hulett
Graveside services for the Rev. C. W. (Jerry) Jervis were held in Hulett Friday. Mr. Jervis, a former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lusk died April 15 in a Lander Hospital.
He had been in failing health for some time, but had only been hospitalized since April 6.
He was born March 15, 1915 at Napponee, Ind., to Albert and Bertha Jervis.
He married Helen Orcutt at Atwood, Ind., June 28, 1936. They were the parents of three children, a son Mark serving in the Navy on the USS Enterprise; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Beth Stubson of Casper and a son, Dane of the family home in Lander.
Mr. Jervis was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
He attended high school at Napponee; three years of college at Wheaton, Ill., Central Baptist Seminary at Kansas City, Kans.; and Spartan School of Aeronautics at Tulsa, Okla.
His first pastorate was in Moral, Kans., 1947. He went to Hulett in 1949 and since has served in pastorates in Jackson, Lusk and Lander.
Survivors include his widow, Helen and his three children.
His parents and a sister died previously.
