Tonya Jordan

Funeral services for Tonya Jordan, age 23 of Lusk, were held at 2 p.m., on June 17, at Washington Park in Lusk. Reverend Evan P. Shea officiated. Interment followed in the Lusk Cemetery. Tonya died early Monday morning near Rapid City, S.D. from injuries suffered as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Tonya was born April 29, 1982, in Crawford, Neb. to James and Sheri Jordan. She graduated from Niobrara County High School in 2000.

She worked at BQ Corral from 2001 until 2004. She was currently employed at Tapp Enterprises as a sales manager.

Tonya loved racing her four wheeler. She was an active member of 4-H for many years. She won two belt buckles for horsemanship and Grand Champion for cake decorating. She was also awarded a trip to Jamaica for her numerous achievements in 4-H. Tonya enjoyed hanging out with friends, riding her Harley, shopping, and Chinese food. Her independence and head strong ways will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Jim and Sheri Jordan of Lusk; sister, Crystal and her husband Ed Tirado of Lusk; grandparents Bob Jordan of Harrison, Neb., Darwin Mackrill of Scottsbluff, Neb.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Aaron.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lavona Mackrill and Eldene Jordan; a cousin, Neal Jordan; great grandmothers, Edna Hartwig and Mary Jordan and great grandfather Conrad Hartwig.

A memorial has been designated to the family.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
