Laura Alexander

Laura Alexander, age 78, of Manville passed away on Friday, July 13, 2001, in Douglas. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, July 16th, 2001, 10:30 a.m., at the Lusk Cemetery with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating.

Laura was born Jan. 19, 1923, in a farmhouse at Hat Creek. She was the daughter of Chris and Millie Olds Myrup. She attended school at Hat Creek and high school in Lusk.

She worked in Lusk at various jobs and traveled with her husband. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Her hobbies included crafts of many kinds, reading, visiting with friends and family on the telephone, telling stories from the past and fishing trips with her grandchildren and family. She lovingly gave to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Laura is survived by her three children and one stepson, LaVon Dobbs of Manville, Crystal Feeley of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Danny Alexander of Casper, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Those wishing to do a memorial may select a charity of their choice.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of the arrangements.
