Mary Howard Funeral Thursday

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning of last week at the Church of the Nativity, BVM, in Harrison for Mrs. Mary Howard, 83, who died at Crest View Manor in Chadron on the previous Saturday. Father John Dennett officiated.

She was born in Dubuque, Iowa, and came to Nebraska when she was a small child. She lived all her married life in Sioux County. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Mike and Martin, and two sisters, Theresa and Mabel.

Surviving are sisters Sabina Bates of Los Angeles, Calif., Nellie Colgan of Portland, Ore., Rose Howard of Albuquerque, N.M., and Margaret DeWitt of Chadron; and one brother, Charles at the Veterans Center at Hot Springs, S. Dak.

Pallbearers were Vernon Dunn, Lester Dunn, Charles Schaefer, Rudy Hartman, John Eberspecher, and Alphonsus Donohue.
