Bernice 'Bonnie' Horton
'Bonnie' Horton, Lusk resident for 16 years, died last Thursday, Sept. 23, in Casper. Funeral service was conducted at Peet Mortuary Chapel on Saturday with Larid Johnson, Dan Anderson and Wyona Overman officiating. "How Great Thou Art" was the music provided.
Bernice Evelyn Horton was born October 30, 1926, in Carmen, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Douglas and Jennie Pierson. She had three sisters, Beatrice, Helen and Marlen and a brother Frank.
'Bonnie' as she was "affectionately known" according to her family, and Merideth Horton were married Jan 18, 1951, in Logansport, Ind. They were the parents of two daughters, Colleen and Jackie and three sons, Merideth, Leslie and Richard. They have eleven grandchildren.
Mrs. Horton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In memorial tribute the family said, "She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and a good friend."
Interment was in Manitoba, Canada, where graveside service was held at Pilot Mound on Monday. She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorials have been established to the Cancer Fund.
