Ruby Elda Holtz

Ruby Elda Holtz was born January 20, 1907 at Adams, Nebr., the daughter of Fred and Sophia Krause Keebler. She died January 27, 1984 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk.

She graduated from Adams High School in 1925 and that fall entered nurses training at Bryon Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. On September 6, 1927 she married Paul Holtz at Harrison. They were the parents of four children. They lived north of Harrison for 53 years. In 1980 they moved into Harrison where she resided until her death.

Mrs. Holtz was confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Harrison on May 22, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Paul. She is survived by her four children, Verne of Harrison, Marilyn Hutchison of Riverton, Durl of Lusk, and Dolly Rising of Harrison; two sisters, Orpha Geike of Lusk and Vesta Werner of Sterling, Nebr.; one brother Archie Keebler of Sterling, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted January 30, 1984 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church , Harrison with Rev. Lee Wisroth officiating.

Music was provided by organist Linda Grimm and soloist Bill Mann who sang "Just As I Am", "Without One Plea" and "Abide With Me."

Pallbearers were Jerald Wallace, Morris Engebretsen, Chuck Smith, Dale Wickersham, Dick Ladwig and John Federle.

Interment was in the Harrison Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church and Harrison Senior Center.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.
