Oliver E. (Hokey) Holcomb
Service for Oliver E. (Hokey) Holcomb, former Lusk resident, was held February 20 at the Barrick Chapel in Salem, Ore. Interment was in the Belcrest Memorial Park. He died Feb. 16 from a heart condition.
Hokey, as he was known in Lusk, was employed at the Midwest Hardware and was a charter member of the Lusk Volunteer Fire Department until he and his wife, the former Lillian Deetjen moved to Salem, Ore., soon after the start of World War II.
He is survived by his widow Lillian E. Holcomb, Salem; daughters, Betty Johnson, Kalua Kona, Hawaii; Mary Dubois, Salem; Linda Atkinson, Aloha, Ore.; son O.E. (Butch) Holcomb, Jr., Salem; sister, Maxine Erickson, Denver, Colo.; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Holcomb resides at 3887 Homestead Rd. S., Salem, Ore. 97302.
