Eva Hitchcock Service Thursday

The funeral service for Eva Jeanette Hitchcock, who died Monday at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital, will be this Thursday 2 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk.

She was born Sept. 30, 1896 in Dawes County, Neb., the daughter of Arthur and Minnie Copper Beem. She moved to Wyoming with her parents while still a small child and attended school at Cheyenne River and Edgemont, S.D.

After her marriage to Arthur James Hitchcock she lived on a ranch north of Lance Creek. She moved to Lusk in 1960.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by four daughters: Ruth Fleming, Rose Wolfe, Fern Wolfe and Ruby Brown; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Frank Blish and Rev. Frank Bozart will preside at the service. Tim Johnson accompanied by Minerva Watson on organ, will sing "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art."

Pallbearers will be Paul McDaniel, Ted Jones, Don Emery, Mike Hammer, Leonard Lincoln and Art Brozovich.

Interment will be at the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials should be sent to the cancer fund.
