Last Rites Held for Arthur Hill
Funeral services for Arthur R. Hill, who died at Douglas, Wyo., on May 23, were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church there with burial in the Douglas Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was born December 20, 1907, near Harrison to Albert F. and Alice B. Hill. He received his education in the Bodarc School and Sioux County High School. He grew up in Sioux County and in 1931 moved to Wyoming living the past 35 years at Douglas. He was a skilled mechanic and was employed by Nisley Construction Company for many years.
He was married to Gladys Graves July 22, 1934, at Gering, Nebr., and they were parents of three children. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Douglas Community Club.
Surviving are his wife Gladys; two sons, Frederick of Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Thomas at home; one daughter, Constance Horne, of Hampton, Fla.; four grandchildren; four brothers, Ray of Platte Center, Nebr., Ed of Crawford, Clyde of Harrison and Clarence of Springdale, Utah; three sisters Frances DeHaven of Harrison, Leona Corbin and Irene Hymer of Crawford.
Relatives who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hill and sons, James, Robert, and Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Dell DeHaven, and Mr. Dale DeHaven of Harrison; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Corbin and Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Hymer of Crawford; Mrs. Robert Powell and Richard DeHaven of Chadron; Mrs. James Mobley, Scottsbluff; Ray Hill, Platte Center, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rodewald, Seneca.
Others who attended from Harrison were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phipps Sr., Mr. and Mrs. John E. Eberspecher and Marilyn, Mrs. Florence Eberspecher and Mrs. Alma Henry.
